Overview
Managing comments can be a bit confusing, because you doing it on several places in your page. So let us give you here an overview to give you a better orientation
- Open lefts side Settings → Discussion here you can manage global settings for your whole website
- You can choose to allow comments on a specific page/post
- Open left side Comments → All Comments, here you can decide whether or not you want publish a comment.

General Settings
- Open lefts side Settings→Discussions
- Here you can make now a lot of settings, however, most of it is rather self-explanatory, isn’t it?
- One tip activate (if it is not activated already) the Comment must be manually approved option to avoid that spammers will abuse your page for link building.

Global Settings
Comments are a great feature to make your page alive. However, Comments are not always useful, therefore you can manage where to display comments.
Specific Settings
- In post editing mode open Screen Options and activate Discussions.
- Scroll down the page and find Discussions
- Here you can now decide whether you want to allow Comments on the page or not.

You can choose to disable comments only for specific pages/posts if you follow the steps below:

Tip, you should acquire a Comment Spam protector it will save you a lot of time. There are several free plugins available, look here for choices.
